Citizen science with Kaia Initiative: our youth team participated in an international bioacoustics study by The Cornell Lab. WOPAM, also known as World Oceans Passive Acoustic Monitoring, involves 400+ sites around the world, recording underwater soundscapes on June 8, and we were honoured to be a part of it!

Our Kaia Initiative members, community volunteers and members of the public joined us for a beach cleanup on 16 March at West Coast Park!

At Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, our members had a land-based expedition, exploring wildlife in Singapore and learning how to better guide nature walks and intertidal experiences.

Friends and family alike joined us – Beach cleanup at Palawan where we collected around 11kg of trash! 💙

Our members attended The Ocean Collective Summit, meeting our ocean idols like Mr Fabien Cousteau!

Intertidal walk in collaboration with SEA Aquarium and Impart SG - On 21 September, some of our youths went on an intertidal walk at Changi Beach led by S.E.A. Aquarium, joined by IPC charity Impart!

Talk on marine conservation to primary school-aged kids at Agora Colearning! Isabelle and Sophie facilitated an educational sharing session consisting of a presentation and hands-on interactive learning activities on marine life and conservation. Students learned about different ocean habitats, marine animals, and threats to marine life.

Kaia Initiative has a booth at Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) Ocean Festival 2024 from 12-14 April (Friday to Sunday) at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre to share about our initiatives and passion for youth diving advocacy & marine conservation.
